Hinds Feet On High Places

by Valarielovelight

I’m reading ‘Hinds Feet On High Places’ an allegory by Hannah Hurnard. An absolutely beautiful book on love and the lengths God will go through for each of us. And the journey we have to go through to become as God intended us to be his beloved. A transformation necessary to purge away anything that’s an enemy to love and keeps us bound. I reread this book at least twice a year. Each time, I see areas in my life that where I’m still in the desert, on the shores of loneliness, trying to ascend the great precipice, and even walking through the forest of danger and tribulation. But, at the same time I see where I have overcome many obstacles, grown in areas of my weaknesses and have matured in some areas of love. Changing into a new name takes time but is doable and the results are well worth it. I wouldn’t change my journey, not one bit even to speed it up. Growing into love is a process that takes time and patience for yourself as well as others.
